BIG CHARITY BRA REQUEST
We’ve teamed up with Breast Cancer Care and Beacon Radio to encourage people to donate unwanted bras with £1 in each cup to support the charity.
We are sponsoring the event this year with Beacon and Breast Cancer Care and have set up bra banks at local depots so you can drop them off – so long as there is £1 in each cup they will be happy to accept any size or shape bra in any condition.

The bra banks are situated in our local wewantwanycar.com depots at Cannock, Dudley, West Bromwich, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Oldbury, Solihull and Birmingham. Local businesses can also get involved by requesting packs to support the charity and to send off their unwanted bras too. So far, over 40 local organisations have requested Workplace packs.
Tim Clapham, Operations Director said “We are excited to be a supporter of such a different and innovative fundraising campaign in aid of Breast Cancer Care.
“We are hosting bra banks at each of our local depots, details of which can be found on wewantanybra.com. We believe it is important to support local organisations providing such vital support to those affected by breast cancer.
“Many of our colleagues have known someone or been affected in some way themselves and this is a great opportunity to give something back to support the community.”
Local celebrity, Meera Syal is also supporting the campaign and said: “I’ve been a keen supporter of Breast Cancer Care ever since my Mum was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 42. Anyone who’s had cancer in the family knows it’s terrifying. Thankfully Breast Cancer Care are there for people, and their families, every step of the way as they deal with the disease.
“Right now in the Black Country and Shropshire, the easiest way to show your support to this amazing charity is to take your unwanted bras with £1 in each cup to a wewantanycar.com depot. Come on ladies, we want any bra!”
Sarah Herrett, Area Fundraising Manager from Breast Cancer Care said: “We are thrilled that Beacon and wewantanycar.com are supporting Breast Cancer Care this year with this campaign.
“This is something unique and hopefully will capture the imagination of everyone in the Black Country and Shropshire. This is a simple fundraising campaign that even men can get behind by encouraging their wives and girlfriends to have a New Year underwear draw clear out.”
Along with Beacon Radio we’ve launched a website: www.wewantanybra.com where you can find out how to get involved, either by organising a collection at work or holding a bra-ty at home.
All the drop off locations can be found here and you can request a collection from the Beacon Bra Van to pick up all your bra’s. You can also find out which celebrity you measure up to in the bra stakes and see some photos of celebs in unusual bra’s.
